Privacy laws in the European Union are changing as of 25 May 2018. In an effort to strengthen your privacy rights, New Media Learning Ltd is updating its Terms and Conditions (, including our Data Protection Statement, our Data Protection Policy and our Data Sharing Agreement which can be downloaded from links in Section 9 of our Terms and Conditions.

These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to provide transparency and safeguard your privacy. They include new information about how we process EU personal data.

Here’s a brief overview of the changes:

• Transparency and control: We’ve added increased transparency relating to the collection and use of data, and information about how you control your data.

• Rights and choices: We’ve added instructions about how you can exercise your user rights and make choices about your data.

We encourage you to review the new Terms and Conditions at Section 9, to familiarise yourself with the changes that are being made.

These updates will automatically come into effect for all existing users on 25 May 2018. Your continued use of the Products and Services of New Media Learning Ltd from that day on will be subject to the updated Terms.

Please note that, we do not host the information which a school may import into 4Matrix. All information remains in the school under the control of the school.
The only personal information that we hold on file are the contact details for the school which are voluntarily provided when a school signs up for an account. We keep this information on file for the duration of the licence plus one year before deleting it.

A school can log in and change the contact information that we have on file at any time. For example, a school can change personal contact information for impersonal information, for example: "Finance Office,". Please note that we are permitted to contact a school using the details it has supplied for the purpose of maintaining our service. Email addresses must remain valid and up-to-date. If we are unable to contact a school we will not be able to renew a school's licence, or otherwise communicate with it. It is advisable to have more than one contact person for a school in case people leave.
